Uno spettacolo sul circo e sulla storia mitologica di Teseo e il Minotauro. Il Teatro di figura è la tecnica con la quale si svolge e si racconta questo “evento”. In scena i clown-attori che cambiano spesso i loro ruoli; un po’ animatori, un po’ inservienti diA show about the circus and the mythological story of Theseus and the Minotaur. The story is told through contemporary puppetry. On stage the clown-actors who often change their roles; a bit entertainers, a bit attendants of a very surreal circus, a bit protagonists / actors.
The characters are those of Greek history: King Minos who at the same time is also presenter of the circus; Theseus the warrior and executioner, but also tamer; Ariadne, Theseus’s lover and acrobat on the wire; Pasiphae, wife of the King and dancer; Icaro the Trapeze artist and the roller coaster; Daedalus the fabulous Marionette architect and finally the Minotaur, the ferocious beast.
The scenography and the image of the show is freely inspired by the work of the sculptor Jean Tinguely: a sort of industrial archeology emerges, made up of recycled and recycled materials, exhausted materials that, completely transformed and regenerated, become “something else”.
The music used in the show is by the composer and musician Pascal Comelade with his group, Bel Canto Orchestra; a very extravagant genre, with extensive use of strange unconventional instruments of various kinds, as well as toy instruments.
